Double triggering and missed soft hits

Both are module-side settings. Lower sensitivity or raise the threshold for a pad that double-fires; raise sensitivity if soft ghost notes are being dropped.
Your module's manual covers per-pad sensitivity, threshold and crosstalk. iQuantize scores exactly what the module sends, so clean triggering is worth getting right before you chase a score.
The fix, step by step
- Identify the specific pad. Double triggering is usually one or two pads, not the whole kit.
- If a pad fires twice from one hit: lower its sensitivity, or raise its threshold, in the module's pad settings.
- If soft hits are dropped: raise that pad's sensitivity, and check the module's minimum-velocity or threshold setting.
- If hitting one pad fires another: that is crosstalk — raise the crosstalk cancellation setting for the affected pair.
- Retest with a slow, deliberate pattern before going back to a scored take.
What the app filters, and what it does not
iQuantize discards duplicate notes that arrive within a few milliseconds of each other on the same pad — the electrical double-trigger signature. That window is deliberately far shorter than any real playing: a sixteenth note at a fast tempo is still tens of milliseconds, so the filter cannot swallow notes you actually played.
What it does not do is hide a badly-tuned pad. A pad that double-fires 30 ms apart is producing something indistinguishable from a fast double stroke, and no app can tell those apart for you. Fix it at the module.
Very soft hits are also subject to a minimum velocity, below which a hit is treated as noise. If your ghost notes are not registering at all, raise the pad sensitivity rather than hitting harder — the point of ghost notes is that they stay soft. See the ghost-note guide.

Could this be the cable or the app?
Very unlikely. Double triggering is a pad and module phenomenon — the piezo sensor reporting one strike as two. It follows the pad, not the software.
My rim shots trigger the head as well.
That is crosstalk between zones on the same pad. Your module has a setting for it; the exact name varies by brand.
