Electronic drum kit plugged in but not detected

In order of likelihood: the cable is charge-only, the module is not powered, or a Lightning iPad is missing its powered adapter.
iQuantize recognizes class-compliant modules automatically, so when nothing appears it is nearly always physical rather than a setting in the app.
The fix, step by step
- Confirm the module is powered on. Its own screen should be lit and responding.
- Swap the USB cable for one you know carries data. Charge-only cables fit perfectly and pass nothing. This is the single most common cause.
- On a Lightning iPad, add power. A genuine Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter with a charger in its power port is required — details here.
- Try a powered USB hub. Some modules draw more than a bare device port supplies.
- Unplug, replug, and restart the app. Then open Settings → MIDI and check whether the module is now listed as a source.
If the module is listed but nothing scores
That is a different problem: the connection is fine and the notes are arriving on drums the chart does not use. Open Settings → MIDI → Pad MIDI Mapper, hit each pad, and check the drum it drives — see pads trigger the wrong drums.

Common questions
Does iQuantize support Bluetooth MIDI?
No. Connect over USB. There is no Bluetooth-MIDI pairing flow in the app, and Bluetooth is a poor fit for timed practice regardless.
The kit works in another app but not here.
Then the connection is fine and the app is likely running while the module was connected mid-session. Restart iQuantize with the module already powered and plugged in.
