Pads trigger the wrong drums

Open Settings → MIDI → Pad MIDI Mapper, select the drum on screen first, then hit the physical pad that should play it, and save.
iQuantize applies an automatic pad map for Roland, Yamaha, Alesis, EFNOTE, Simmons and 2box modules. If your module is from another brand — or you have edited its kit layout — some pads can land on the wrong drums until you assign them once.
The fix, step by step
- Open Settings → MIDI → Pad MIDI Mapper.
- Select the drum on screen first by tapping its octagon. Order matters — hitting a pad before selecting a drum only flashes the current match, it does not change anything.
- Hit the physical pad that should play that drum. The assignment is made, and any pad that previously owned that note swaps with it.
- Repeat for each pad that is wrong, then press Save.
- If Save is blocked, two pads are on the same MIDI note — resolve the duplicate first.
What the app remembers
The mapping is stored against the specific module, so each kit keeps its own layout and gets it back on every reconnect. A mapping you set yourself is treated as final: automatic detection never overwrites it.
There is also a Restore to defaults control. If your module is one of the recognized brands it restores that brand's map rather than a generic one.

Common questions
The app says it detected my kit but asks me to confirm.
That happens when the module's reported name is close to a known one but not an exact match. Rather than silently applying a map that might be wrong, the app asks. Choose Use it to accept, or Fix mapping to open the mapper.
My hi-hat plays as a crash, or two pads play the same drum.
Both are mapping issues — assign them in the Pad MIDI Mapper. If two pads must genuinely share a note (some modules send open and closed hi-hat on one note and separate them with the pedal controller), the app handles that automatically for modules where it applies.
